A DYSTOPIAN WORLD

In the last two weeks our world (our country) has turned upside down. It is something I would have never imagined happening. I have imagined a lot of other reasons we could come into a dystopian scenario, but a virus? Not so much.

In the last few months I have read multiple books about scenarios that would put our society in a state that would turn people against each other acting out in desperation.

The thing that I also find very interesting is how close to pass-over that this plague has turned up. My husband and I have started attending a Messianic Jewish sabbath services on Friday nights. The Rabbis taught on the plagues and how the pharaoh continued to harden his heart even after his country was decimated by the plagues.

Insurance against hoarding.
I once had a dream about the end times.  Click the link to read it. My take away from that was that we will have to endure some hard times in order to become receptive to Him. Many of us will not turn to God when times are easy and good. Our country is the richest in the world. Even our poor are fed better than some people in some countries. We can avoid really hard times here, but we cannot escape a plague so easily.

As much as we would like to think we are in control of our destiny, we are totally dependent on the mercy of God whether we acknowledge it or not. The question is, how are we going to react to this wake up call? Are we going to spend the time given us to meditate on what is important in life; or are we going to act out of fear and hoard supplies so we can maintain a semblance of control?

My suggestion is to spend this time contemplating what it is that God is telling us. Leave a comment
telling us just what YOU think He is telling you. It will probably be different for each person. God knows us intimately and knows what each of us needs.
